Category : Intermediate<br />
Actionscript : 2.0<br />
<br />
Here you will learn to import a Movie Clip from library onto the stage using Action Script in Macromedia Flash.<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
1- Open Macromedia Flash and create a New Document.<br />
2- Create a new Movie Clip (Ctrl + F8) > Select Movie Clip > Click the Advance Button.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/TG8F63bVeYI/AAAAAAAAAHg/Fxd1YJWEFGI/s1600/1.bmp" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/TG8F63bVeYI/AAAAAAAAAHg/Fxd1YJWEFGI/s320/1.bmp" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
3- In the Identifier box write "ball_mc". Tick the option 'Export for Actionscript'. Press OK.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/TG8GSlSzaGI/AAAAAAAAAHo/8U0b71Wq1Wg/s1600/2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/TG8GSlSzaGI/AAAAAAAAAHo/8U0b71Wq1Wg/s320/2.JPG" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
4- Draw any shape you want like here we have drawn a simple ball.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/TG8GhDmmieI/AAAAAAAAAHw/O6rlxSc2AcY/s1600/3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/TG8GhDmmieI/AAAAAAAAAHw/O6rlxSc2AcY/s320/3.JPG" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
5- Now go back to 'Scene 1'<br />
6- Select the first frame and open up the Actions Panel (F9).<br />

<br />
8- Its Done. Check the movie clip by pressing Ctrl+Enter.<br />
9- You can additionationally add some more script to get your movie clip in the right positon and size. Add this to Actionscript:<br />
ball_mc._width = 300;<br />
ball_mc._height = 300;<br />
ball_mc._x = 10;<br />
ball_mc._y = 10;<br />
<br />
10- All Done.<br />
<br />
Description:<br />
>This will stop the current movie on frame 1<br />
stop();<br />
>This will attach the movie clip to the stage<br />
attachMovie("ball_mc", "ball_mc", 1); <br />
>This will set the width and height of the MovieClip<br />
ball_mc._width = 300;<br />
ball_mc._height = 300;<br />
>This will set the x and y position of the MovieClip<br />
ball_mc._x = 10;<br />
ball_mc._y = 10;Haider Rizvihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12665305421326371731noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6176432916864848263.post-30597971950759801072010-07-08T17:12:00.000+05:002010-12-12T19:51:21.320+05:00ActionScript DictionaryTitle: Macromedia Flash Actionscript Dictionary<br />

<br />
Category : Intermediate<br />
Actionscript : 2.0<br />
<br />
Here you will learn to create a Random number in Macromedia Flash between a range.<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
1- Open Macromedia Flash and create a new file.<br />
<br />
2- Select the very first frame on the timeline and open up the action script panel (Press 'F9').<br />
<br />
3- Write the below written script in it.<br />
stop();<br />
<br />
var high = 1;<br />
var low = 100;<br />
var randNum = Math.floor(Math.random()*(high-low))+low;<br />
trace(randNum);<br />
<br />
4- Test the movie (Press Ctrl+Enter). Done<br />
<br />
Description:<br />
stop();<br />
//Stops the movie on current Frame<br />
<br />
var high = 1;<br />
//A variable which holds the initial value of the range<br />
var low = 100;<br />
//A variable which holds the final value of the range<br />
var randNum = Math.floor(Math.random()*(high-low))+low;<br />
//A formula with floor function to calculate the range between the two numbers(high-low)<br />
trace(randNum);<br />
//Prints the result on the Output windowHaider Rizvihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12665305421326371731noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6176432916864848263.post-25008558404076939382010-04-11T02:32:00.000+05:002010-12-12T19:50:45.934+05:00PreloaderTitle: Preloader in Adobe Flash<br />
<br />
Category : Advanced<br />
Actionscript : 2.0<br />
<br />
Preloader shows the percentage of the data loaded of the Flash Movie while streaming. It is very useful in Flash Websites. With Actionscript 2 it is very easy to develop a Preloader with few lines of code.<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
1- Open up Macromedia Flash and create a new file.<br />
<br />
2- Create three layers, name the first one as “actions”, second one as “preloader” and the third one as “data”. Now make two empty frames on “actions” and “data” layers.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/S8DtuFaAIHI/AAAAAAAAAHA/TLPexVqlZdY/s1600/1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/S8DtuFaAIHI/AAAAAAAAAHA/TLPexVqlZdY/s320/1.JPG" wt="true" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
3- Now create a Movie Clip (Insert> New Symbol> Movie Clip) and name it as “Load-Bar”. In the Movie Clip make a colored square with width=100 and height=10. Delete its outline. In the properties name it as “bar_mc” Make sure it is on the origin i.e. x and y-axis position should be zero.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/S8Dt0qPR6VI/AAAAAAAAAHI/4ZdomONFFjg/s1600/2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/S8Dt0qPR6VI/AAAAAAAAAHI/4ZdomONFFjg/s320/2.JPG" wt="true" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/S8Dt3v_TsmI/AAAAAAAAAHQ/MBTOS-oNXYg/s1600/3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/S8Dt3v_TsmI/AAAAAAAAAHQ/MBTOS-oNXYg/s320/3.JPG" wt="true" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
4- Come back to ‘scene 1’. Create an empty text field and in the properties select “Dynamic Text”. Also in the Properties name it as “percentage”.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/S8DuAuC38eI/AAAAAAAAAHY/sCAtv_gkBKI/s1600/4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/S8DuAuC38eI/AAAAAAAAAHY/sCAtv_gkBKI/s320/4.JPG" wt="true" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
5- Now Select the ‘actions’ layer and select its first frame. Open up the Actions Panel and write this script:<br />
stop();<br />
var loadingCall:Number = setInterval(preloadSite, 50);<br />
function preloadSite():Void {<br />
var siteLoaded:Number = _root.getBytesLoaded();<br />
var siteTotal:Number = _root.getBytesTotal();<br />
var percentage:Number = Math.round(siteLoaded/siteTotal*100);<br />
percentage.text = percentage +" %";<br />
bar_mc._width = percentage;<br />
if (siteLoaded >= siteTotal) {<br />
clearInterval(loadingCall);<br />
gotoAndStop(2);<br />
}<br />
}<br />
<br />
6- Now select the second frame of actions layer and write this script:<br />
stop();<br />
<br />
7- Place your data in the second frame of the “data” layer. Make sure the first frame should be blank.<br />
<br />
8- Now test the Movie Clip by Pressing ‘Ctrl+Enter’. Here you will notice that your preloader is seen like a flash, to test it correctly in the present window select ‘View> Stimulate Download’ or you can press ‘Ctrl+Enter’ again. <br />
<br />
<b><span style="background-color: cyan;">Description:</span></b><br />
<br />
>> This will stop the movie on the current frame: <br />
stop();<br />
<br />
>> This will create a preloader function and will calculate the percentage of the data loaded. When the datawill be loaded it will jump to frame 2 of the movie clip:<br />
var loadingCall:Number = setInterval(preloadSite, 50);<br />
function preloadSite():Void {<br />
var siteLoaded:Number = _root.getBytesLoaded();<br />
var siteTotal:Number = _root.getBytesTotal();<br />
var percentage:Number = Math.round(siteLoaded/siteTotal*100);<br />
percentage.text = percentage +" %";<br />
bar_mc._width = percentage;<br />
if (siteLoaded >= siteTotal) {<br />
clearInterval(loadingCall);<br />
gotoAndStop(2);<br />
}<br />
}Haider Rizvihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12665305421326371731noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6176432916864848263.post-18925943324860726232010-04-08T22:58:00.000+05:002010-12-12T19:50:02.259+05:00Loading Image by Movie clipTitle: Loading External Image by using Movie Clip<br />
<br />
Category : Advanced<br />
Actionscript : 2.0<br />
<br />
In Macromedia Flash we can load external Images (.jpeg , .gif …. files) by using Movie Clips and a Preloader can be applied with this method easily by writing few lines of Script.<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
1- Open up Macromedia Flash and create a new file.<br />
<br />
2- Name the layer as “text”. Create a new text field, donot write anything in it, in its properties select the type as ‘Dynamic Text’ and select the align center option. <br />

<br />
In Macromedia we can load external Flash Movies (.swf files) by using Movie Clips and a Preloader can be applied with this method easily by writing few lines of Script.<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
1- Open up Macromedia Flash and create a new file.<br />
<br />
2- Name the layer as “text”. Create a new text field, donot write anything in it, in its properties select the type as ‘Dynamic Text’ and select the align center option. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/S7zRv_BWMsI/AAAAAAAAAGg/obxexu6t_G0/s1600/01.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="55" nt="true" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/S7zRv_BWMsI/AAAAAAAAAGg/obxexu6t_G0/s400/01.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
3- In the Properties name text field as “loadtext”<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/S7zRp7wir0I/AAAAAAAAAGY/DSWFS51jS5Y/s1600/02.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" nt="true" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/S7zRp7wir0I/AAAAAAAAAGY/DSWFS51jS5Y/s320/02.JPG" /></a></div><br />

<br />
-ContentPath: The path of the content you are going to load (if the content is in the same folder we will write the file name only)<br />
<br />
-scaleContent: To set that the Image loaded should be scaled to the width and height of the component or not<br />
<br />
<br />
8- Set the “autoLoad” to “true” and “scaleContent” to “true”.<br />
<br />
<br />
9- Write the name of the Image file in the “ContentPath”, like we are using “sample.jpg”.<br />
<br />
10- All done, now test the movie clip by pressing Ctrl+Enter.<br />

<br />
Category : Advanced <br />
Actionscript : 2.0<br />
<br />
In Macromedia Flash text can be loaded from external text file, from .txt files. This is very handy while creating a website with Dynamic content, so you have to edit the text file only and it will be loaded accordingly. In this tutorial you will learn how to load external text from external text document.<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
1- Create a new notepad text file (.txt), save the file named as "doc.txt" and write in it:<br />
<br />
text_myne=I am learning how to load external text file in flash from haider rizvi blog.<br />
<br />
<br />
2- Create a new flash document and save it in the same folder in which the text file is.<br />
<br />
3- Create a text field with dynamic attributes and set its name in the Properties box as “my_txt”<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/SzuXdB7ZVyI/AAAAAAAAAEM/A_g7yK4kVcw/s1600-h/1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ps="true" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/SzuXdB7ZVyI/AAAAAAAAAEM/A_g7yK4kVcw/s320/1.JPG" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
4- Expand the text field to approximately 300x200 size.<br />
<br />
<br />
5- Open the Components window. Goto: Window > Components<br />
<br />
6- Expand “User Interface” by clicking on it.<br />
<br />
7- Find “UIScrollBar” in it and Drag and Drop it to stage, besides the text filed you have created.<br />
<br />
8- Place the “UIScrollBar” to the right side of the text field so that it gets attached with it.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/SzuXtI61BeI/AAAAAAAAAEU/C2OMEvRgUNE/s1600-h/2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ps="true" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/SzuXtI61BeI/AAAAAAAAAEU/C2OMEvRgUNE/s320/2.JPG" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
9- Now create a new layer and name it as “actions”. <br />
<br />
<br />
10- Select the first frame of the actions layer (which is currently empty) and open up the actions panel. Write the actions in it as follows:<br />
<br />
myData = new LoadVars();<br />
myData.onLoad = function() {<br />
my_txt.text = this. text_myne;<br />
};<br />
myData.load("doc.txt");<br />
<br />
11- All Done. Now test the movie by pressing Ctrl+Enter. <br />
<br />
*Note: You can edit the appearance of text from the text field properties.Haider Rizvihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12665305421326371731noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6176432916864848263.post-27013015385916055032009-12-30T23:05:00.000+05:002010-12-12T19:47:29.964+05:00Exit Button In FlashName : Creating Exit Button for swf Movies in Macromedia Flash<br />

<br />
3- While the button is still selected open up the Actions Panel (Ctrl + F1) and write the actions as follows:<br />
<br />
on (press) {<br />
fscommand("quit");<br />
}<br />
<br />
4- All done. Export the movie clip in .swf or .exe format and check with the file created.Haider Rizvihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12665305421326371731noreply@blogger.com30tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6176432916864848263.post-91708541279152113682009-12-25T01:29:00.000+05:002010-12-12T19:46:44.471+05:00Customizing Context Menu in FlashName: Context Menu <br />
Category: Intermediate<br />
<br />
In Macromedia Flash you can add and edit the standard Context Menu (Right Click Menu). This tutorial will teach you how to customize the context menu by removing default items and adding your own items to the menu.<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
1- Open Macromedia Flash and create a new document.<br />
<br />
2- Select first frame of the first layer (empty by default). <br />
<br />
3- Open up the Actions Panel and write the actions as follows:<br />
<br />
custom_menu = new ContextMenu();<br />
custom_menu.hideBuiltInItems();<br />
menu1 = new ContextMenuItem("!Learn to Flash!", doNothing, false, false, true);<br />
menu2 = new ContextMenuItem("Goto my Web Page", gotoSite, false, true, true);<br />
menu3 = new ContextMenuItem("Copyright© All Rights Reserved", doNothing, false, false, true);<br />
custom_menu.customItems.push(menu1);<br />
custom_menu.customItems.push(menu2);<br />
custom_menu.customItems.push(menu3);<br />
_root.menu = custom_menu; <br />
function doNothing() {<br />
}<br />
function gotoSite() {<br />
getURL(<a href="http://learntoflash.blogspot.com/">http://learntoflash.blogspot.com/</a>);<br />
}<br />
<br />
4- Explanation: <br />
<br />
<br />
>>custom_menu = new ContextMenu();<br />
custom_menu.hideBuiltInItems();<br />
<br />
These will create a new menu instead of the default menu and will hide the built in items in it. But the the three items shown in image below cannot be removed by any script. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/SzPOsoOL6RI/AAAAAAAAAD0/wv2k-NUxkrE/s1600-h/1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ps="true" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/SzPOsoOL6RI/AAAAAAAAAD0/wv2k-NUxkrE/s320/1.JPG" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
>>menu1 = new ContextMenuItem("!Learn to Flash!", doNothing, false, false, true);<br />
<br />
menu3 = new ContextMenuItem("Copyright© All Rights Reserved", doNothing, false, false, true);<br />
<br />
This will create two Context Menu items which will be unclickable because “doNothing” function is called in them. Read further to understand better.<br />
<br />
<br />
>>menu2 = new ContextMenuItem("Goto my Web Page", gotoSite, false, true, true);<br />
<br />
<br />
This will create another Context Menu item, which will be clickable as “gotoSite” function is called here. <br />
<br />
<br />
>>function doNothing() {<br />
<br />
}<br />
<br />
This will create an empty function. That’s why when this function is called in the two menus they became unclick able. As named this function will do nothing. <br />
<br />
>>function gotoSite() {<br />
getURL(<a href="http://learntoflash.blogspot.com/">http://learntoflash.blogspot.com/</a>);<br />
}<br />
<br />
This will create a function which is reflecting to a web site, as getURL function is called in it. When the menu item with this function will be clicked it will direct to the website written in the function. <br />
<br />
<br />
5- All done, now test the movie clip by pressing Ctrl+Enter.Haider Rizvihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12665305421326371731noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6176432916864848263.post-45139700981727969872009-12-20T22:38:00.000+05:002010-12-12T19:45:54.436+05:00Adding FunctionName : Adding Function in Macromedia Flash<br />
Category: Intermediate<br />
<br />
In Flash many functions can be performed by using Action script. We can make a simple calculator in Flash. Here we are going to create a simple program in which two numbers will be added. <br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
1- First open up Macromedia Flash and create a new file.<br />
<br />
2- Create a text field in the Properties select the type as Input text and name it as “A1”.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/Sy5gex2L1oI/AAAAAAAAADc/37_8vKViBOc/s1600-h/1.PNG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ps="true" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/Sy5gex2L1oI/AAAAAAAAADc/37_8vKViBOc/s320/1.PNG" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
3- Make sure the text is still selected. In the Properties select the button “Show border around text”.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/Sy5gm3B6xsI/AAAAAAAAADk/XSWcLM44Zmk/s1600-h/2.PNG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ps="true" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/Sy5gm3B6xsI/AAAAAAAAADk/XSWcLM44Zmk/s320/2.PNG" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
4- Make another field with same attributes (text type, border) and name it as “A2”.<br />
<br />
<br />
5- Make another filed and select type as Dynamic text, also select the border function. Name it as “Sum”.<br />
<br />
6- Make a button and write action as follows: <br />
<br />
on (press) {<br />
Sum.text = Number(A1.text)+Number(A2.text);<br />
}<br />
<br />
7- Arrange the elements, like this one :<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/Sy5hAAk9PiI/AAAAAAAAADs/Nbd6pTE3UoY/s1600-h/3.PNG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ps="true" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/Sy5hAAk9PiI/AAAAAAAAADs/Nbd6pTE3UoY/s320/3.PNG" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
8- All done, now test the movie by pressing Ctrl+Enter.Haider Rizvihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12665305421326371731noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6176432916864848263.post-32264655867626653822009-12-20T22:12:00.000+05:002010-12-12T19:44:54.254+05:00Moving objects with keysName : Moving objects with keyboard keys in Macromedia Flash<br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
3- Convert that shape to movie clip. To do so, select the whole shape and right click on it and select “Convert to symbol” (see figure below), select movie clip from the type and name it as “Pointer”.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/SyyGcXp46SI/AAAAAAAAAC0/jAf_qi4ikHQ/s1600-h/2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ps="true" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/SyyGcXp46SI/AAAAAAAAAC0/jAf_qi4ikHQ/s320/2.jpg" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
4- Now select the Pointer movie clip and in the properties panel name the instance as “point1”.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/SyyGigMGHII/AAAAAAAAAC8/2jf2QOt84Wo/s1600-h/3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ps="true" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/SyyGigMGHII/AAAAAAAAAC8/2jf2QOt84Wo/s320/3.jpg" /></a></div><br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/SyyGo0JHGaI/AAAAAAAAADE/UfaT6XQ6CHk/s1600-h/4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ps="true" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/SyyGo0JHGaI/AAAAAAAAADE/UfaT6XQ6CHk/s320/4.jpg" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
6- Name the new layer as “Actions” and the old one that contain your movie clip as “Pointer”<br />

Category : Intermediate<br />
<br />
In Macromedia Flash making a button is very easy. Here we will learn how to create them.<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
1- Open Flash and create a new file.<br />
<br />
2- Create a desirable shape like a square or a circle on the workspace. Here we are using square shape.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/SyEFQgUSjPI/AAAAAAAAACE/sb3mIKPi8mc/s1600-h/1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ps="true" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/SyEFQgUSjPI/AAAAAAAAACE/sb3mIKPi8mc/s320/1.JPG" /></a></div> <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
3- Now convert the shape to a button. Select the whole shape and right click on it and select convert to symbol. <br />
<br />
<br />
4- Give any name what you want, here we are naming it as "button 1". Also set the type to Button.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/SyEFYpjpdUI/AAAAAAAAACM/KowWrV15sEI/s1600-h/2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ps="true" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/SyEFYpjpdUI/AAAAAAAAACM/KowWrV15sEI/s320/2.JPG" /></a></div> <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
5- Double click on the button to edit it. You can clearly see that the timeline is now changed. Here the frames are bigger, with names Up, Over, Down and Hit. <br />
<br />
<br />
Explanation: <br />
<br />
Up: When mouse pointer is not on the button<br />
Over: When pointer comes over the button<br />
Down: When mouse left button is pressed<br />
<br />
<br />
6- Place frame on Over. Right click on "Over" frame and select Insert Key frame. <br />
<br />
OR<br />
Same result can be achieved by selecting the "Over" frame and pressing F6.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/SyEFmyUjuoI/AAAAAAAAACU/mkakQx8JWKo/s1600-h/3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ps="true" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/SyEFmyUjuoI/AAAAAAAAACU/mkakQx8JWKo/s320/3.JPG" /></a></div> <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
7- Change the color of the button. <br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/SyEFyxY9w8I/AAAAAAAAACc/9Yuu1Ua0KTY/s1600-h/4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ps="true" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/SyEFyxY9w8I/AAAAAAAAACc/9Yuu1Ua0KTY/s320/4.JPG" /></a></div> <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
8- Now repeat step 6 and 7 for the "Down" frame. Leave the "Hit" frame empty. <br />
<br />
<br />
9- The animation for the button is done. You can test the button animation by pressing Ctrl + Enter.<br />
<br />
10- Now to function the button, which is linking it. Go back to the scene 1.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/SyEF_Bdq2QI/AAAAAAAAACk/ZlhFih6HxjE/s1600-h/5.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ps="true" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/SyEF_Bdq2QI/AAAAAAAAACk/ZlhFih6HxjE/s320/5.JPG" /></a></div> <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
11- Select the button and open the actions panel. Write the following actions. <br />
<br />
on (press) {<br />
getURL("<a href="http://www.syed-home.co.cc/">http://www.sqhr.comule.com/</a>");<br />
}<br />
<br />
Explanation: "getURL" is the main function used to jump to any location or website. Like if you want to get to any image file location in the images folder of your root directory. Then its actions will be as,<br />
e.g. getURL("images/name.jpg");<br />
<br />
<br />
12- All done, now test the movie by pressing Ctrl + Enter.Haider Rizvihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12665305421326371731noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6176432916864848263.post-68577961332612468022009-12-10T13:39:00.000+05:002010-12-12T19:42:41.240+05:00DraggingName : Dragging in Macromedia Flash<br />

Category : Begginer<br />
<br />
The first and basic step in Flash is Motion Tweening. It will act as the basic building unit for Flash. <br />
<br />
This tutorial will show you how to create a motion tween in Flash, and hopefully you will understand more about motion tweening.<br />
<br />
Follow the following steps: <br />
<br />
1- First, launch Flash. Once the program will be fully loaded, you should now create a new file, you should see a blank area called your workspace. <br />
<br />
2- Now, select the Rectangle tool from the set of icons on the left of the screen.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/SyCu9mEXquI/AAAAAAAAAAU/Lc0p7yiBAns/s1600-h/1.gif" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ps="true" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/SyCu9mEXquI/AAAAAAAAAAU/Lc0p7yiBAns/s320/1.gif" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
3- Once you have selected the Rectangle tool, go to your drawing area (workspace) and draw a square. Try to make the square to the left edge of your drawing area: <br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/SyCvIg3hsRI/AAAAAAAAAAc/QiQCEf0PUSc/s1600-h/2.gif" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ps="true" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/SyCvIg3hsRI/AAAAAAAAAAc/QiQCEf0PUSc/s320/2.gif" /></a></div> <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
4- After the square has been drawn, jump to your timeline. Your timeline is the area toward the top of the screen with numbers and small, vertical boxes. Notice that here at Frame 1, a solid dot appears : <br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/SyCvTE6b9NI/AAAAAAAAAAk/cN7qvyWVzXE/s1600-h/3.gif" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ps="true" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/SyCvTE6b9NI/AAAAAAAAAAk/cN7qvyWVzXE/s320/3.gif" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
5- Now, find the Frame number 20. Right click directly at the frame under the number label 20 and select "Insert Keyframe": <br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/SyCveCZGjqI/AAAAAAAAAAs/U0Ed5IqhxF4/s1600-h/4.gif" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ps="true" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/SyCveCZGjqI/AAAAAAAAAAs/U0Ed5IqhxF4/s320/4.gif" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
6- With the Frame 20 still selected, go down to your wpokspace. Select your entire square. Now, move the square to the right-most edge of your movie (workspace) area: <br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/SyCvm36aZiI/AAAAAAAAAA0/zBpwynDpWpw/s1600-h/5.gif" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ps="true" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/SyCvm36aZiI/AAAAAAAAAA0/zBpwynDpWpw/s320/5.gif" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
7- Its now time to Motion Tween. Click on Frame 1 and highlight all the frames from Frame 1 to Frame 20. While all the frames are highlighted, right click and select "Create Motion Tween": <br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/SyCvvlYypJI/AAAAAAAAAA8/kUc2CaeK-ac/s1600-h/6.gif" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ps="true" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_UQOn5Kt8g_w/SyCvvlYypJI/AAAAAAAAAA8/kUc2CaeK-ac/s320/6.gif" /></a></div> <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
8- If everything worked out correctly, then your highlighted frames will take purple color with a arrow leading from Frame 1 to Frame 20. <br />
<br />
<br />
9- You have done it. Now test your movie by Pressing Ctrl + Enter key.Haider Rizvihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12665305421326371731noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6176432916864848263.post-27129895405781793622009-12-08T22:59:00.000+05:002010-12-12T19:39:53.586+05:00WelcomeFrom this website you can learn Macromedia Flash from basic till advance.
